Karikaturen | Caricatures | Cartoni animati | Marrazki bizidunak | Cartoons | Rajzfilmek | Kreslené

In U-Bahn Stationen, Zügen, Strassen etc.. habe ich für kurze Zeit die Menschen getroffen, die ich an Ort und Stelle auf Skizzen karikierte, um sie später als Porträts in Öl auf Leinwand zu verewigen. Die menschlichen Gesichter sind wie Landschaften, die sich verändern.

Geschichte der Karikatur

Karikatur wird vom italienischen Wort caricatura abgeleitet. Caricare bedeutet übersetzt ins Deutsche: tragen oder übertreiben. Das Wort lässt sich weiter ableiten aus dem Spätlateinischen: carricāre oder carrus, ein gallischer Planwagen.

In den Ruinen von Pompeij haben Historiker erste Karikaturen gefunden. Weiter gelten Porträts von Leonardo da Vinci als Karikaturen, für die er Modelle mit körperlichen Deformationen brauchte.

For my caricatures I met people in Tube-Stations, trains and street. for a short moment. Further one I used to do sketches in situ. Later I worked out portraits in oil on canvas. Human faces are changing landscapes.

History of caricature

The word caricature comes from Italian caricatura, from caricare, to load, exaggerate, from Late Latin carricāre, from Latin carrus, a Gallic type of wagon.

In the ruins of pompoji historians found early caricatures (see photo below). Moreas some of the earliest caricatures are found in the artworks of Leonardo da Vinci, who sought human being with deformities to use as his models.
